Day 1048: Spotify

I listen to music day and night. Literally, it's hard to come up with a time when music isn't involved other than when I'm actually sitting in class, and even then things seem to play more than a few notes (although I suppose that's just a part of the music major life). Working on homework usually means music is playing, as does working on the blog or editing a video. If I'm sitting in the music lobby, the music library, or the caf, there's usually music playing somewhere, and even walking to class, you'll find me with earbuds in more often than not. On the plane when I'm traveling, and in the Disney Parks. It's everywhere.

As you can imagine, I'm always looking for new ways to listen to this music, and recently I discovered the magic that is Spotify. People have been raving about it for ages, but I never really realized how amazing it is until recently. Plus, there's a student rate so having premium isn't even terrible. The best part is that, with premium, you can listen to anything off line by downloading it to your phone. In other words, I've been listening to the soundtrack for The Force Awakens for weeks, and when you throw a little bit of this and that in there too, you end up listening to all kinds of things.

The question now is what I'll listen to next. I usually pick a soundtrack to listen to on repeat while I'm traveling. In January it was 1989 by Taylor Swift, and Disneyland brought me back to Owl City. I could just do Star Wars, but I'm already listening to that on repeat, so I'll need something new. Maybe something Disney related, or maybe the Beatles? Granted, it's certainly even easy to relate the Beatles to Disney...have you seen the shop in the UK Pavilion at Epcot?

Leave your suggestions for what I should listen to next in the comments below and then head over to spotify and find something new yourself!

Have a magical day!

Day 1047: Little Hook, Little Emma

My Once Upon A Time collection continues to grow, and this time, I actually made the addition myself! So much of my OUAT Merchandise has been gifted to me, but when I saw the Once Upon A Time Funko Pops, I knew I had to have the Little Hook, and when there's Little Hook there has to be Little Emma!

Actually, there are a lot of really great Funko Pops out there, and in a short span of time, I've gathered a few of my own. In addition to Little Hook, I also now have the Little Killian Jones special order Funko, which looks exactly the same aside from a hand instead of a hook. I also have the little BB-8 Funko, which I love to death, and I've gifted a few this holiday season as well!

But can we just talk for a minute about how adorable these two are? Definitely a great reward for getting through a couple of hard weeks at college, and now I have them to keep me company over J-Term!

Have a magical day!

Day 1046: Oh Yeah Disney

As a Disney YouTuber, I'm always looking out for awesome videos on the internet, and I came across one just recently that I'm absolutely in love with. This video is so well done and well, just watch:

Wasn't that just awesome? What I wouldn't give to have some B-Roll like that. If you want to check out another of the videos from OhYeahDisney, you can do so on their YouTube channel or their website

Short blog post, I know, but I'm just so in awe of the video haha! I've got nothing else to say!

Have a magical day!

Day 1045: Hungry

Oddly enough, as I write this I'm hardly hungry at all, considering the fact that I just ate my lunch, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't go for a dole whip (or two). The truth is, when we leave Disney, there are few things we miss as much as the food we eat there. From the Cobb Salad at the Brown Derby to Churros, Disney food is something special, and as I grow closer to my trip, I find myself craving only Disney foods. What are those foods you ask? Well, lucky for you, I have a list!

1. Dole Whips

Plain and simple, this one ranks in at number one, because Dole Whips are such a Disney thing and I could literally live on them for the rest of my days. I have the feeling that many of my fellow Disney fans will agree, as it's commonly cited as one of the most loved Disney treats, regardless of which coast you're on!

2. School Bread

This is actually the thing that inspired this post, as the other day I had such a want for some school bread after a friend tweeted about eating some. Now I'm counting down the days until it's in my hands again, and gosh that day can't come fast enough.

3. Cobb Salad

I mentioned this salad from The Brown Derby at Disney's Hollywood Studios a moment ago, but just a mention doesn't do it justice. I had it last when I was down in Florida in June, and I realized what I'd been missing out on. Needless to say, I made sure we were taking a trip to Brown Derby just so I can eat this salad in January. Wow...I'm excited about a salad guys.

4. Churros

You can't go to a Disney park and not want a churro these days. What used to be a Disneyland treat has spread to both coasts, and now you can find multiple flavors out in California in addition to the classic flavor that's now made it's way to Disney World.

5. Turkey Legs

I'm not always up for a turkey leg, mostly because it's just too big for me to eat all on my own (my brother, on the other hand...). Still though, the turkey leg is such a classic Disney food that I always sort of wish was on my plate, especially during the holiday season. I mean really, how awesome would it be to have Disney Smoked Turkey Legs for Thanksgiving dinner instead of a whole turkey. I'd be perfectly fine with that.

6. Matterhorn Macaroon

I may be going to Disney World, but that doesn't mean I don't miss the Matterhorn Macaroons that are out at Disney World. I don't know what that little bundle of heaven was, and honestly I don't think I care all that much because it was delicious.

Now, do you think there's a way to get this all delivered to my house?

Have a magical day!

Day 1044: Finding Dory

That's right, the moment we've all been waiting for is finally here: the trailer for Finding Dory!

Oh come on, you can't tell me that you haven't been anticipating this movie at least a little bit. We all want to know why we have to find Dory, and where she went! Plus, more Ellen and more Nemo? Sounds like the greatest thing ever.

It seems like we're not necessarily looking for Dory, but that Dory is looking for something else. Regardless, with this bunch of fish it's sure to be an interesting adventure!

So...can we go see the movie now?

Have a magical day!

Day 1043: Squirrel!

While procrastinating on some of my work for my English class, I thought it might be fun to write a blog post on procrastinating for that same English class. In an attempt to make my blog different from my peers, I knew I wanted to make graphics for each blog post, and when it came down to it, I realized that there would be no better graphic header for a blog post on procrastinating than procrastinating by photoshopping squirrels into Splash Mountain...

And so, being the squirrel loving person I am, I thought that it might be fun for the squirrel gang to show up in a few other places...

Oh yes, it seems as though the squirrels certainly get around, and something tells me that this isn't the last we'll see of them...after all, photoshopping squirrels into Disney attractions is way more fun than doing real work!

Have a magical day!

Day 1042: A Bad Lip Reading

My friend Jessica and I love to watch YouTube videos together in between our classes and homework and practicing, and often times we end up watching Bad Lip Readings. This time, however, it was actually Megan who sent me the bad lip reading for The Empire Strikes Back, and I laughed so hard that I just knew I had to share this one.

You can definitely check out the other Star Wars bad lip readings, but this one in particular just got me. From the "Hey I don't like fruit" to "Vader's after this horse Donny" and "Uh uh, you're bad at stuff," I just can't handle this.

Oh also... "FLOOOOWEEERRRR!"

Have a magical day!
