Last June, when we were at Walt Disney World to celebrate my parents' 25th wedding anniversary, I made my first attempt at the Four Parks, One Day Challenge, which takes you to all four of the WDW theme parks in one day, and has you visit at least three attractions in each park. Last year's attempt more or less failed after a nap and rain overthrew the plans to get to Epcot on time to finish off the day and complete the three attractions in that park.
So we attempted it again.
This past January we worked hard to complete the challenge for real, and you can find a more in-depth count of everything that happened in a blog post from January, but I thought I would share the video version of the day so you can see just what we all got up to throughout our day! I've been saving this video so it goes with the vlogs that are appearing on my YouTube channel, giving a behind the scenes look there as well:

I've been trying to figure out ways to bring the Disney Parks to me this Christmas season since I won't get to see any of the holiday stuff when I'm there in January, or at least I won't see most of it. It's especially sad because of it being the last year for the lights, and I just always miss IllumiNations when I'm far away. The Disney Live Streams have helped for sure, as does the Christmas Day Parade, which is a yearly tradition in our house, but there's another recording of the parade that caught my eye this year too:
Leave it to Disney to time lapse their own Christmas parade for the enjoyment of the internet...although I'm not complaining. In fact, I think we should do this with everything! Can you imagine how amazing that would be!?!

As a Disney YouTuber, I'm always looking out for awesome videos on the internet, and I came across one just recently that I'm absolutely in love with. This video is so well done and well, just watch:

Over the course of Everyday Disney we've talked about a lot of little things that remind us of Disney. If you've read the backstory behind how this all started you'll know that Everyday Disney was founded on a box of mac and cheese, and since then we've talked Disney Deja Vu, with all of its references to the Disney Parks with sight, smell, and more.
But what about sounds? What are some of those things we hear and instantly think of Disney when we hear them? Recently it was the sound of a Disney bus that forced me into a bought of homesickness, but there's plenty of other noises that bring us right back to the Disney parks.

Honestly I'm just procrastinating right now...so I should probably get back to my own work.
If by now you haven't figured out that I'm incredibly busy this semester, then maybe we all need a reality check. I sort of anticipated this semester being like this, but I don't think I was actually prepared for it. In other words, by the time I got around to actually making an attempt at my schedule this semester, things hit me kind of like a brick wall. This week has been better, much of which I attribute to the fact that Everyday Disney is caught up and I can finally focus on writing one blog post a day. Things are more constant, but it's still a lot of work to keep everything going and in place.
And not having time means a couple of things. First, that there's not as many opportunities to think about Disney or incorporate it into my everyday life, and second, there's not a bunch of time to focus on making YouTube videos each week. I'm definitely not stopping, but I have a whole list of ideas that I'll hopefully have time to film...someday. This week, however, I decided that this exact topic was the perfect opportunity for a video in itself, so I give you my top four ways to bring Disney into your busy day!
A quick fun story about the filming of this video too: I actually was filming Wednesday morning, as that's about the only time I have all week that I'm alone in my townhouse and can easily talk to my camera without interruptions or bothering someone else. Turns out there can still be interruptions though, as only seconds before I was about to film a take of me falling onto the bed, the fire alarm went off in my building. After about five minutes of standing outside, I finally got the shot...but the alarm did go off a second time about 20 minutes later. Wednesday was definitely a day on the struggle bus.

Currently I post two YouTube videos a week (vlogs on Tuesdays and Disney Videos on Fridays), although after the vlogs from Disneyland conclude Tuesday videos will stop until new vlogs are filmed in January!
As usual, my video camera was along for the ride on my trip to Disneyland, and there's already three vlogs up that you can watch! Things worked a little different with these vlogs from the usual setup I use for Florida, as Days didn't really apply in California. With D23 thrown in the middle with special videos, that left a bunch of random footage that didn't really apply, but that I still wanted to include! And so, also in an effort to keep the videos shorter, I've split the Disneyland Vlogs into Parts instead of Days! You can watch the first three here:
Part 4 will go live Tuesday, September 29, and there's several more after that! Plus, there's still at least one more Disneyland Video in the works that I've been planning for quite some time, so be sure to keep an eye out for that too!

When I watched Sarah's Pin Tag video, I figured it would be a great way to guest star my brother and Frank, my two pin-trading friends that I happen to live pretty darn close to. In reality, I thought it would be fun to have them do the tag with me because we all pin trade differently! My brother is a pretty serious collector and trader, searching, specifically, for the Walt Disney World Pennant set, although he has huge shadowboxes full of pins he's traded for! Meanwhile, I spent most of my time searching out rare or limited edition pins. Many of the ones I have came from D23 Expos, but I definitely have my fair share of pins I've found elseware too. Finally, Frank is new to the pin trading world, so I thought it might be interesting to include her perspective too!

Disney fans are crazy, that's for sure, and that's why Buzzfeed likes to make videos about Disney fans and Disney characters. A couple of my roommates hurried into my dorm room the other day to share this priceless video and I knew I had to share:
Why this one stood out to me, I'm not totally sure, but I think it has something to do with the fact that there are a lot of things Disney fans do that people think are weird. Like singing along to random Disney songs at all times, and let's be honest, a lot of us dream of having a Lady and the Tramp moment for real.

Going into this semester, I knew it was going to be rough. I've got a lot going on, and that's alright, but I do feel like editing has become my free time. There's almost always another video to be editing or working on, a blog post to be written, homework to be done, or some event to be headed to, which makes for a pretty interesting life. I have found, however, that the ideas for videos come more and more frequently, probably because brainstorming for those is a lot more interesting than doing yet another reading for one of my classes.
I'm here to let you know that there's a lot of exciting stuff coming up on my YouTube channel though, and if you haven't checked it out already, now is definitely the time to do so! While I'm running two videos a week right now, that will change in about a month as the vlogs from Disneyland conclude. However, they'll be back after another trip in January, and I'm toying with ideas for all kinds of Friday videos that include everything from Disney World to Cardboard Colin. Just to give you an idea, here's an inside look at two videos currently in production:
I'm happy to announce that my Cardboard Colin Video, Best of Friends, will be premiering at some point in the future! I don't have an exact date at the moment, as a last minute change in the script has yet to be filmed, but a large portion of the video has already been filmed and is ready to go. The basis? Cardboard Colin and I are pretty great friends...and we stick together through the ups and downs of cardboard life, even if no one else quite understands our friendship. Trust me, it'll be an adventure I'm super excited to see the completed project soon!
Channel Trailer
While I don't have a thumbnail for this one, as it's yet to be filmed and is still in the early stages of production, I can't wait to get started on the filming portion of my channel trailer! When I first began doing the videos, I knew a trailer was something I needed to look into. In fact, this one has been in the works for even longer! So someday soon you should be able to see a wrap up of all of my channel in just a few seconds!
Operation Dole Whip
While it's still a long ways away (January actually), videos for my next trip to Walt Disney World are already in the planning stages! Frank and I are going for what we like to call a "Chillcation" to Walt Disney World, and, as of right now, I believe there's about three or four videos planned for filming while we're there in addition to the vlogs. I got a bunch of positive feedback from my On-Location Disneyland Videos, so I'm excited to try some back home at Disney World! Among these videos? A challenge-based video, a hide and seek video, one based on the chillcation idea, and a Never Before Tried Disney World Foods video!
Of course, there's still 15 Friday videos between me and Walt Disney World, so there's plenty of other magic that will begin to appear on my YouTube channel! I'm thrilled about what's in store for me in the YouTube community and I've loved every second of dipping my toes in it over the summer. It's definitely a new hobby I've discovered that I won't be giving up anytime soon!

A while back I posted my answers to a giant Disney tag that consisted of Disney Tag questions from all over the internet, but I still hadn't gotten around to actually making one for YouTube. As something I'd been meaning to do for year, or more, probably more, the Disney Tag has always been on my radar, especially when it comes to my YouTube videos. Well, with the prospect of having videos go up even while I was in California, I needed a bunch of topics in a short amount of time, at least much shorter than I normally have, and the Disney Tag seemed like the perfect solution!
This time I returned to some of the original questions, but my goal with this new Disney Tag was to answer things that aren't usually asked. For instance, instead of asking about my favorite Disney movie, I would answer which was my least favorite. Actually, there were a lot of great questions on the list:

To be honest, it's well into September by the time I'm actually writing this blog post (a trip to California immediately followed by moving into college will really get you behind), so I don't even remember all of my answers, but I'd love to see what your answers might be! While planning videos for Disneyland, I left Wisconsin with a lot of ideas. As a Disney YouTuber who lives very far away from the Disney parks, it's a rare opportunity that I get the chance to film on location in the parks. Luckily, I have the resources from Disney World to include footage from just about any attraction in my videos, but Disneyland was a whole other story. I had five days in the parks and LOTS to accomplish, so of course I decided the best plan of action would be to add on another on location video halfway through the trip.
It struck me while out at Disneyland that there has to be some reason that Disneyland gives off this overwhelming sense of home. There's a calming happiness there that you can't always find at Walt Disney World. It's made up of loyal, life-time, local guests, and a history that predates the rest of the theme parks that would follow. As time went on throughout my trip, I realized just how much I had missed some of the things there. World of Color, an absolute favorite of mine, is nonexistant at Walt Disney World. Likewise, we don't have a Matterhorn or Mickey Beignets or Captain America. When I realized that those barely scratched the surface, I decided to take it a step further, and make my own celebration of the 60th Anniversary of Disneyland by exploring just how unique it is...
It took me almost 6 hours to edit this video, one of the longest since I've started doing weekly Friday videos for YouTube, but every minute was worth it. Disneyland, as those who visit regularly know, is a place of real magic. I see Walt Disney World as my home, and I have the feeling that I always will, but there's something about Disneyland that just feels right. I can't quite put my finger on why Disneyland is so special, but I have the feeling it has a lot to do with the fact that it's the only one of the Disney parks where Walt himself walked, and that's a presense you can't replicate at any of the other Disney Parks, at least not on the level you can at Disneyland.
Then again, Disneyland has a lot of unique stuff, and I absolutely cannot wait to go back soon and experience it all over again.

When I first decided to do weekly Disney inspired videos this summer, I sort of thought I was out of my mind. Granted, I knew I had a whole summers worth of trip vlogs that needed to go live eventually, and without a job I figured it was now or never, but I guess I couldn't have expected how simultaneously easy and difficult such an endeavor would be.
It's time consuming, that's for sure. On average, I'll probably spend at least three hours a week on a video, depending on how easily the idea comes, how long it takes to actually film it, and how many technical issues I run into while editing. This week, however, I've spent a solid two and a half days just working on editing videos, and at this point I'm pretty sick of staring at my computer screen. So of course, here I am, still sitting at my computer, writing a blog post. Regardless, this week was filled with so many videos largely due to the fact that I leave for Disneyland in less than a week and I don't want to have to worry about those new videos while I'm gone. So I'm happy to say that the next two weeks of videos are all up and ready to go. Thank goodness.
But I also don't think I realized the crazy things I would end up doing to film a YouTube video. Like when I ended up putting twigs in my hair for the Disney Hairstyle Video, or many of the things you'll see in upcoming weeks. But since I'll be at Disneyland, here's a quick preview of the videos you'll be able to find on my YouTube channel this month:

The concluding day of my June trip to Walt Disney World was a short one, but that doesn't mean it's not filled with Disney magic, in this case, in the form of Epcot!

After this set of videos concludes, don't think things are stopping though! Following the conclusion of my June Vlogs I'll have a blooper video from my January trip and then we head over to Disneyland for a whole new set of vlogs!
Last summer I worked on doing some non-vlog videos, and I decided I want to try it again this summer, especially since I'll be headed to D23 in August and I have a ton of vlogs just waiting to go live on YouTube. And that's exactly what I'm going to do. This summer, instead of just having new vlogs or doing something else, I'm going to do a Disney-themed video every Friday! This is in addition to a new trip vlog each week, going live on Tuesdays.
However, trying to figure out where to start was kind of difficult, so I used what was sitting on my bed for inspiration! Since I was about to leave to Walt Disney World and was halfway through packing anyway, I figured I would share what I carry in the Disney Parks, which isn't much!
As you can see, I carry as little as possible when I'm on Vacation, I've never seen the point of bringing everything under the sun to the Disney Parks, so it's always nice to take along as little as possible.

Thingamavlogs if a channel with not just one, not even two, but five minds behind it, and I'm completely in love. They each do a video a week, making for a new video every single week Monday through Friday, and every single one is focused around Disney. There's a new theme each week, and well...I'll just let them introduce themselves and the channel:

However, it's never to late to start from the beginning and binge watch all of the videos out so far! Well, here we are again. Gosh, I have a lot of series posts. Ok, not really, only like three of them, but this one is one of the most fun, I do have to say that. Why? Because I get to watch Youtube videos until I find just the right ones to include in the post. Actually so far it hasn't been all that difficult because I have a lot of these videos. But I sometimes still watch them anyway because, well, I talk about them, so I'd better know exactly what I'm talking about.
So here's the third bunch of Disney-Inspired YouTube videos that I just love to death!
Hipster Disney Princess - THE MUSICAL:
AVbyte has been around for a while, but this is most certainly the way I first found them. I mean, it's just kind of hard not to click on a video about Disney Princesses being Hipsters, and this is like one of my absolute favorites here on Youtube. Granted, would it really be on this blog if I didn't like it? Probably not, unless we were doing a fail post. Oh yeah, and that second one, all about Princess Leia...and just as awesome!!! The Disney Princesses actually show up a lot in their videos, which is something I am most certainly cool with. Toyz Noize:
Honestly, nothing can make your day better like a bit of Toy Story, and here's a great, quick way to do it, especially if you don't have time to watch the entire movie. Nick Bertke has actually made several of these, but this one is by far my favorite. It's just so adorable. My actual favorite part? The "You are a...BUZZ LIGHTYEAR." Gets me every time.
Disney Dudez:
This one is fairly recent to my Disney collection of favorite videos, but I most certainly had to share it. This has got to be one of the best Disney inspired videos out there, just because the entire thing is hilarious, and musical and just overall great. I do have to say that the band, IM5, is pretty awesome...other than the fact that I find it slightly disturbing that I'm older than all of them. Since when am I older than the common Boy Band member?
Well, unlike the Star Wars edition, I try to limit myself to three different videos per Youtube post. For one reason, it makes it so that I don't use all the videos at once, but it also means that you don't sit at your computer for hours watching video and that I don't get you in trouble for not doing your work. Or maybe it's just me that won't do my work?
Here's today's Disney History: 1995: A ground breaking takes place for Disney's newest Florida theme park Disney's Animal Kingdom (the largest of all Disney's theme parks, it will open in April 1998).
