Believe it or not, I'm 20 years old and I've never carved a pumpkin.
My roommates seems to find this an abomination, so when they decided we were going to carve pumpkins this year, I couldn't really say no. Lucky for you, I filmed the carving of my pumpkin...which sort of set the theme for the whole weekend.
To be honest, I started out really debating what design I would do...the fact that it was Hook just had to happen though, because this wonderful night of pumpkins was the evening before we headed out to see Colin O'Donoghue's new film, The Dust Storm, which you can read all about in the following two blog posts. Trust me, you'll want to read it.
Have a magical day!
(Note: This blog post was written on December 1...because college).
Halloween season is upon us, and if there's one thing my family apparently loves about this holiday, it's our decorations. I'll share some of the decor from home later this month, but here at college we tend to lack in the Halloween department. So I went online and searched for Disney themed Halloween decor that I wish I had the time to create. Here's just a few of my favorites:
You definitely have to start with inspiration from the parks, and I love the Candy Cones in this video from the Disneyland Resort!
Next, this one popped up on my Pinterest and I knew I had to share it. I have this tradition to post a picture every time I come across Master Gracey's gravestone, so having one in my own yard for Halloween would be super entertaining.
Go on, try to tell me that this next one wouldn't at least frighten my neighbors a little bit!
Someone out there is brilliant enough to recreate the singing heads from the Haunted Mansion on their front porch. I want some!
And, of course, there are tons of unique Disney Pumpkin designs out there, although personally I want to see one of the pumpkins Colin O'Donoghue carves. This isn't random, I promise. According to some of the cast members the pumpkins he carves are beautiful, meaning they could totally show up anything I would be able to put together. But regardless, here are a few ideas:
Gosh I wish I had more time and energy to actually decorate for holidays. My life is super busy these days, so I guess I'll just have to dream about decorating instead.
Let me know how you're decorating for Halloween in the comments below!
