Day 848: Creating Real Magic

Magical Moments are a huge portion of what I love about the Disney Parks, and they're one of the real reasons I can't wait to be a cast member. Of course, I realize that not every moment is going to be a chance for me to make a real magical moment like the one I'm about to share, but I firmly believe that as long as I keep the Disney spirit alive as I pursue a career with the company, magical moments will weave themselves into the ordinary, everyday moments that make up a shift. It's not always pixie dust, but working for Disney would be a benefit enough.

Anyways, my news suggestions on most websites is filled with news from Disney, and I stumbled across an article the other day about a magical moment at Disneyland. This story absolutely warmed my heart, and I really wanted to share it with you. You can read the entire post HERE, and I highly suggest heading over to read the story because it's well worth the effort!

It's magical moments like the one that Rob and his family experienced that keep Disney fans like myself coming back to the Disney Parks time after time. Personally, I can recount several of my own magical moments, such as the time we were upgraded at Disneyland to a Park View room or the experience I had marching down Main Street U.S.A. this past summer. And when I return home, it's those magical moments and those memories that keep me going through trips.

I do have to comment on the All Ears Newsletter for a second though, which you can subscribe to through the All Ears Website, found HERE. Once a month as a part of their Newsletter, the All Ears staff includes a few magical moments (they're always on the last newsletter of the month!). I literally look forward to reading these when they appear and more often than not, I can't get through them without crying. The magic that Disney creates every single day is spectacular, and it never fails to amaze me.

And you know...it's one of the reasons I do believe that Disney is one of the best places in the world, whether it be Walt Disney World in Florida, Disneyland in California or one of the other Disney parks throughout the world. The people behind the scenes do everything to make your trip as magical as possible, and that's not something you're going to find everywhere. Disneyland is cited as the Happiest Place on Earth, and Disney World as the most Magical, and as a huge fan of both of them, I can certainly attest to the fact that they live up to their names. The Disney Parks are pure magic, as you can see through stories like Rob's that keep me going and keep me inspired as I grow closer and closer to applying for my own career with the company. It's a huge step, one that scares me every single day, but the chance to make real magic myself? That's an offer too good to ever pass up.

Have a magical day!

Day 606: Magical Moments

Of all the Disney blogs I follow, AllEars has to be one of my favorites. As a kid (and teenager too I suppose), I always remember my mom talking about the website and the newsletter and so on and so forth, but I didn't really appreciate it all until I began this blog, and then I appreciated it even more when I started reading it weekly.

But my absolute favorite part of the newsletter comes once a month, when Magical Moments are included. On the last newsletter each month they include three magical moments that are sent in. I look forward to these each month and can honestly say that they make me cry more often than not. I mean, these are just moments that showcase how powerful and magical Disney really is, and it's a great feeling.

Oddly enough, as I was writing this blog post, I scrolled back through the past newsletters and picked a random one, which happened to be exactly a year ago in September 2013. I've read a lot of these magical moments, but there's still one that I've never forgotten. I read it to my brother and cried both times I went through it. It was about a little boy who loved Indiana Jones and received the gloves from Indy himself after the stunt show. You can read the whole story by scrolling down to the magical moments section HERE.

Of course, I've had my own fair share of magical moments, but marching down Main Street still tops them all. It was tiring and frustrating and sometimes I wonder if it was all worth it, but I was on top of the world in that moment and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

That's the thing. Magical Moments don't really ever happen on purpose. They happen on accident. They're moments that shouldn't be happening, that we don't think will happen, but occur anyway, and that's what makes them so magical. I think it's moments like those that make Walt proud and are the true heart of the Disney company. After all, these are moments that often stick with us for our entire lives.

Have a magical day!

Day 394: Experience It

I haven't done a Pinterest post specific to one particular picture in a while. I mean, I do the ones where I have a whole bunch of pictures on one board, but I haven't done one like this recently. It's one of those times when I go on Pinterest and find a post that I can just sit down and write whatever I want about it.

This is something I tend to talk about a lot actually. I can't count the number of times I've said to someone that Disney isn't just something you can talk about. I can talk about going to Walt Disney World all day long and yet you still won't be able to experience it the same way I do just through my words.

In fact, it's something I've talked more and more about with the Band Trip to Walt Disney World. A lot of people have questions about why you should go to Disney World because either they have been there before or they have some sort of idea about what it is. In reality it's normally not the truth.

The only way to really experience Walt Disney World is to go there for yourself. To see and experience everything through your own eyes. And since every Disney Vacation is different, you're going to have different memories. My favorite experiences come from the entire range of my trips, not just the first couple I remember. Every time I go it's more magical, and I can't wait for my two trips this year because they both promise to be great.

Have a magical day!
