Day 444: Magical People

Since I'm writing all of these posts after my trip, it means I can tell you about all the amazing people I met throughout my trip, not just on this day or up to this point, and trust me, there's a lot of amazing people! Like I would walk around and just find more people. Ok, that's not entirely true...I did plan a couple of these, but a good portion of them were NOT on purpose...so that's awesome!

The Jamitors & The Fife and Drum Core

Sometimes I walk around Epcot...and sometimes when I walk around Epcot I happen to be in the right spot at the right time to catch some of the spectacular musical groups that perform there...including my personal favorite, the Jamitors! Gosh those guys are good. And this time I was in for a real treat, since they were all dressed up for the Flower and Garden Festival too. What a rush when they perform! And I happened to be standing outside of The American Adventure right as the Fife & Drum Core came around the bend, and staked out a perfect spot RIGHT in front of them when they were performing. Of course, in both cases I had my brother take my picture with some of them. That picture with the Jamitors though...it's awesome.

My Friend Hannah!

About halfway into the trip I got a text message upon waking up from my friend (and future roommate!) Hannah. She asked if I was still at Disney, and after saying that I was, she went on to explain that she was at Magic Kingdom. As it happened, I was headed to MK that night, and we had a couple minutes to meet up! It's always awesome seeing friends of mine at Disney!

Hayley from Magical Ribbons

As I was on my way to meet Hannah, I was walking through the Tangled area and stopped. Earlier in the day, a fellow instagramer (FRUMP!) posted a picture of how she had met Hayley earlier in the day. So when I was walking I realized that there, sitting in the rest area, was Hayley! Now, if you don't know her, you should, because she's the one behind Magical Ribbons. You know, those amazing things that I post about on Instagram all the time and people always ask me where I got them from? THAT HAYLEY! Totally awesome that I got to meet you! =)

FLYNN AND RAPUNZEL!

Now, I don't have a picture of this one at the moment because mom hasn't taken pictures off of her camera yet, but I'm sure you'll see a picture of it soon enough. Either way, I was in Epcot one of the days, off videoing for band stuff, when my mom sent me a text message that simply read "Flynn Rider." I seriously LOVE Flynn Rider. Like, he's my favorite Disney character, and I've been wanting to meet him for forever! He used to do meet and greets at Disney World, but I was never there when he was, and then they got rid of him...or did they? NOPE APPARENTLY NOT! CAUSE I GOT TO MEET HIM! Best moment of my life. I had to run across half of Epcot to meet him, but I got to, and then Rapunzel and Flynn said I was adorable! THEY THOUGHT I WAS ADORABLE! Ok...calming down.

MrCheezyPop

If you watched The Lizzie Bennett Diaries on YouTube (Which ended just over a year ago now), this guy might look a bit familiar. Yep, this is Maxwell Glick, YouTuber, Disney Lover and overall awesome guy! I actually have a quote of his on my desk, and when we realized that we were both going to be at Disney World at the same time, we kind of just decided that a meet up needed to happen. It took a lot of planning and a bit of quickly walking through Epcot, but it was all totally worth it! SUPER EXCITED that I finally got to meet you! =)

I also had a wonderful Visa Cardholder Picture Experience with Mickey and Goofy...who were just absolutely ADORABLE. Probably one of the best one's I've ever had, hands down.

Day 255: BREAK TIME!

Homework. It seems to be the end of all of us. For me, it's the end of, mostly, any social life I would attempt to have here at college. For others it's just the end of their lives, period. It makes total sense if you think about it though, I mean, one goes to class and then spends the rest of their life reading or studying for that class...and then there's like at least four other classes.

I mean, I guess right now I have some part of a social life, but that "Social life" is mostly sitting in my best friend's dorm room fangirling over things on Once Upon a Time. Not that I'm complaining. I don't mind sitting and spending my time watching Once, not at all, but it's just kind of weird.

Basically my day goes like this: I get up and go to class, and then normally another class right away, and sometimes one more class, before going to lunch with my best friend and her roommate. Then I often times have another class, or if I don't I'll try to do homework until my brain hits stop. Then I either watch TV or work on something that's a bit more busywork and not reading or homework. Then I go to Wind Ensemble, which I'll talk more about come the end of next week. I follow Wind Ensemble with dinner, and then often times I go to watch Once. Then I either go to the library or my dorm room and do my homework until bed. Oh, and I write a blog post in there at some point.

But there comes a time every once and a while where I don't have to focus on homework or class, and do you know what time that is?

BREAK TIME!

Earlier I was texting one of my friends and I said that and I immediately thought of something Disney when I told her it was break time. And do you know what that thing I thought of was?

The Jamitors!

If you have never seen them, you need to, because the Jamitors are seriously awesome. It's a group of three people that perform at Epcot every so often in the morning using their trashcans. Basically, they're janitors that play awesome music...even if they don't necessarily clean any bathrooms. The idea is that they play the music during their break time, and you can see a little bit of them in the video below, just start it at about 5 minutes!

Here's today's Frumpstagram post, which was much easier to do than those for the last couple of days. I mean, who doesn't have a picture of one of those amazing Disney Desserts? I finally decided on this one, because of course, Mickey shaped desserts are always better than anything else.

And here's today's Disney History: 1957: Film Score composer and music producer Hans Zimmer is born in Frankfurt, Germany. He has composed music for over 100 films including The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Have a magical day!

Day 130: Instagram

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I'm kind of a random person...but lately I've been doing a lot of posting of Disney pictures, and I just thought I'd share a few. I post everything from Fireworks to Test Track...and plenty in between. And of course, every Sunday I post a Spaceship Earth picture to celebrate Spaceship Earth Sunday, which is a legit hashtag I discovered a few weeks ago.

And last night I posted a few Disneyland pictures...which reminded me I need to go and finish going through the rest of said Disneyland pictures at some point....it's just there's like 3000 of them and I have 2000 to go through yet. Still, the trip was in 2011, so I really should finish doing that. Either way, here are some of my most recent Instagram photos!

And yes, all these pictures were taken by me or someone in my family!

You can follow my on Instagram by clicking the link on the left side of the page...just find Instagram! I also post all my Instaphotos to Tumblr and Twitter, which you can find links to as well!

Here's today's Disney History: 1996: The television comedy series Boy Meets World airs the episode "The Happiest Show on Earth" - which takes place at Disney World.

Have a magical day!
