Day 1107: A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars has gotten me through the last month and a half in more ways than one. It gave me something to look forward to during finals week, and it was a constant as everything else in my life changed without warning. I connected to the characters in The Force Awakens as they struggled with some of the same emotions I was dealing with, and I grew more and more excited about the thought of once again getting a hug from my favorite Wookiee while in Florida.

Last June I was fortunate enough to experience what would ultimately be one of the last Star Wars Weekends as Disney Parks and Resorts prepare us for the addition of a whole new land at both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios in Florida focused on the franchise. However, in the seven months since I was last at Hollywood Studios things have changed more than a little bit, and where I once met Baymax I now met Chewie and Darth Vader. Chewie I met back in June, but Vader was a new experience for all of us...and while you can't say I didn't put up a fight, it was still pretty frightening.

The Star Wars Launch Bay, which took up the space left by the old Walt Disney Animation Pavilion, is certainly well themed for the short turn around from the old setup. Inside you have the chance to met either Chewbacca or Darth Vader (although it sounds like Darth will be moving out for his Grandson, Kylo Ren), visit the Cantina Bar, check out film props (including Rey's Speeder that's seen below), try your hand at Star Wars video games such as Disney Infinity, and shop around for select Star Wars merchandise.

Also included in Star Wars Launch Bay is a short film that celebrates the entire Star Wars Saga. I loved this behind-the-scenes production that looks into not only the original trilogy, but the other four films that now make up the franchise while also looking to the future films waiting for us in the upcoming years. There's another film, called Path of the Jedi, that shows in the theater next to Echo Lake, although I found this one a bit confusing even for the most avid Star Wars fan. It attempts to explain the Star Wars Saga in about 10 minutes and, if you have no prior knowledge of what Star Wars is all about, I'm sure you'd get a bit lost due to the fast pace and constant information overload that is all of Star Wars. Regardless, I still thought both films were a nice tribute to the characters and stories we've come to know and love.

The new additions to Hollywood Studios don't stop there though! Star Tours: The Adventures Continue has been updated once again to feature a new adventure on the planet of Jakku with some of your favorite characters from The Force Awakens. I knew going into it that we were headed to Jakku (why does everyone want to keep going back to Jakku?), but I was surprised and thrilled to find Finn and BB-8 a part of the new adventure. It's not my absolute favorite experience on Star Tours, but it's definitely a great addition to the attraction!

And finally, going into the entire experience I knew there was one piece of merchandise that just had to come home with me: the BB-8 Beverage Cup. I was never really a fan of the specialty cups until I found the Dinoco Oil Cans at Carsland, and now I can have my favorite droid as a part of my collection too! Frank got one for herself and we brought home one for Shovell as well, so we certainly continue to match in that portion of our Disney collections.

We also had another chance to see the beautiful Symphony in the Stars with the additional benefit of the Dessert Party, which we also attended in June. It's pricey, but you get a great view of the fireworks and can certainly eat and drink your weight of the specialty desserts, beverages, and other snacks. We were also given the Chewbacca Steins as a special gift, so we left with plenty of new additions to bring home.

Overall I do believe Hollywood Studios would be hardly more than an empty shell of a park without the Star Wars features currently holding guests over until construction is completed on the two new themed lands that will call the park home. That being said, I'm sure to return to Star Wars launch bay for many more visits with Sith Lords and Wookiees, but also eagerly look forward to the expansions taking place elsewhere...although you probably shouldn't get me started on the latest batch of closures that were announced.

What Star Wars character would you want to meet most if given the opportunity? Let me know in the comments below! My answer? Obviously Han Solo!

Have a magical day!

Day 257: Why I Hated Hollywood Studios

I said last night that this was going to be today's topic so here it is, a story that is actually kind of interesting if you ask me. I think really the proper title would be "How Star Wars Changed my Life" but I like this title too, so we'll just roll with it. I did honestly go back through all my posts tagged Star Wars though, just to make sure I didn't already tell this story, which is odd that I haven't because...well yeah. I suppose this time it will be the enlarged version of the story though, so here we go:

Once Upon a Time (I couldn't help myself), when I was a little girl, I absolutely hated MGM Studios. I hated just about everything about it. I thought it was ridiculous. The entire thing. There wasn't anything that I liked there, after all. I mean, the Great Movie Ride scared me (Alien...still can't handle it), Tower of Terror was the last thing I wanted to do, I didn't especially like Indy yet (I think that probably counted as my favorite thing there though), Rock'n Roller Coaster made me sick, as did Star Tours (plus I didn't like Star Wars), the Backlot Tour also scared me (I didn't like loud noises), Toy Story Mania didn't exist yet, and I wasn't a fan of the Princesses (something that you now know I regret). I guess there was the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playarea, but that was probably also counted as my favorite thing in the park...until One Man's Dream probably. I've loved that since it opened in what, 2001 or something? Gosh that's old already. Oh yeah, I also loved the backlot area of Residential Street, but we all know what happened to that.

So in other words, I just really didn't like going to Hollywood (or MGM) Studios. I always loved Epcot more, by a lot. Epcot's the home of my favorite attraction, and great food and is basically my home, so it easily won out over Hollywood Studios. I just remember my entire childhood not wanting to go there like, at all. I hated it, plain and simple.

I stayed that way for a long time, through the change to Hollywood Studios (in 2009?), through the redo of Star Tours (yes, it was open months before I actually watched Star Wars for the first time), past the time my brother went on Tower of Terror for the first time, through the Millennium Celebration and Year of a Million Dreams. Yep, all the way through until, specifically, January 2012.

I would have been 16 at the time actually, not yet the owner of a car or a driver's license, but close, when I finally came around to see Hollywood Studios in a new light. But the question is why? Why the sudden turn around. Well, you see, the previous August I made a decision that would pretty much change my life.

I decided to watch Star Wars.

And so, we have the story (which I'm pretty certain I haven't told you on this blog). A story as old as time...wait, wrong thing. That's Illuminations. Ahem, THE story of how I came to love Star Wars, and, in the process, Hollywood Studios.

As a kid, I watched a bunch of Indiana Jones. I remember it pretty clearly actually, watching what was my favorite, "Temple of Doom," (Apparently I was a strange child). I watched it all the time in my bedroom at night or after doing homework. Whenever. I had the VHS copy so it was pretty easy to do. Actually I'm not sure where that VHS is, even though I have the other two, but that's beside the point. So in other words, I knew Indiana Jones and I knew some about Harrison Ford. I didn't think too much of it though. The Indy films are great movies, so it's logical, right? Right.

And then in 2011 I went with my family on our first trip to Disneyland. It was a great experience, and I absolutely loved it. But two things kind of changed within me there. I went on the Indy ride and realized, "Hey! I should rewatch the Indy movies!" And so I made that decision. And my family went on Star Tours, but I just pulled a "Walk through the StarSpeeder and not actually go on the attraction." It was a simulator and I didn't have motion sickness medicine yet, so I wasn't about to ride. Again, didn't think much of it. Then, one of the next few days we were sitting in Tomorrowland eating lunch when the Jedi Training Academy began. I watched, interested because, even though I had been to WDW how many times, I had never actually seen the Training Academy. And then Darth Vader came out of the ground and it was awesome and yeah...that was when something clicked.

I had never seen all of Star Wars. So I decided to watch them! Right then and there in the middle of Tomorrowland at Disneyland, I decided that I was going to watch Star Wars. But that's not where the story ends. A couple of months later, sometime in October actually, I remembered what I had decided, and pulled out a VHS copy of Episode 1 (our DVD didn't work). Now, I'm going to say it flat out...starting with Episode 1 was a mistake. I struggled through the first three episodes thinking "Who watches this? This is crazy." Luckily I had enough self control not to throw something at the TV or stop watching, so I eventually got to Episode 4, in which in initial reaction was "WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED!?!" I knew that they had filmed it what, twenty years or so earlier, so it was expected to be lower quality, but it just confused my mind.

So we're following Luke and Obi-Wan around and I'm all "This is stupid" and then they go into the Cantina and BOOM. My life changed right then and there. I was sitting in our living room watching Episode 4, and Han Solo walked on the screen and I was like "Dad.........is that....is that Indiana Jones?" and he was all "Yeah, that's Harrison Ford. He plays Indiana Jones too." And so, I liked Star Wars and quickly watched the other two episodes. That's all the more there was to it.

But what does this all have to do with Hollywood Studios? Well, let's fast forward a bit to January 2012, only months after (two actually) I had seen all of Star Wars for the first time. In between my trip to Disneyland and my trip to WDW that January, I happened to read a book about hidden secrets at Walt Disney World, and of course, many of them in there talked about Star Wars. I was like "WHAT!?!" when I read about the Speeder Bike across from Star Tours, and the little hidden secrets in the area. And then there was Star Tours itself, something I decided I needed to do after reading up on it a little. So I found some motion sickness medicine, and planned to go on Star Tours with three missions in mind: Find Han, Find Leia and Find Yoda.

I did all three during that first trip in which I went on Star Tours. I found the Millennium Falcon and had transmissions from both Yoda and Leia. It was great. And so, I started to open up a bit more. It came to my attention some time later that the soundtrack from Star Wars can also be found at the end of the Great Movie Ride, and that there's a whole section for Star Wars in that montage, and how Han is legitly one of the last things you see.

I rewatched Indiana Jones and came to love the stunt show. And, in November 2012, I got my very own Indiana Jones hat from the Indiana Jones store there. I search every trip for a Harrison Ford signed picture of, specifically Han Solo, but Indiana Jones too. I found Harrison Ford's handprints this past July, and actually, in November, I spent more time at Disney's Hollywood Studios than I ever have in my life. I went on Star Tours 9 times that trip, in the search for Han Solo for real (whom you can see for a brief few moments during one of the beginning sequences).

Now I love going on Toy Story Mania, and I love the Backlot Tour and go on it specifically to see the Star Wars props in the Junkyard. I still really miss the Residential Area, but other things branched off of this too, like Singin' in the Rain, and the umbrella you can find in that backlot area. Or my will to watch all the movies in the Great Movie Ride. Looking at the handprints instead of walking over them. Deciding to watch the Muppet Show, a decision I would never have made if I hadn't spent more time there at the Studios. I still hate Tower of Terror and I swear you will never get me on it. But I love Star Tours, and I can't wait to take my friends to Hollywood Studios if that is, indeed, the last park we choose for on the band trip.

And so, that is the story of why I hated Hollywood Studios, and how I came to actually love it because of Star Wars. It's honestly amazing how much of a difference one little decision like that can make. It did, after all, also introduce me to the wonderful YouTube community of, specifically, ApprenticeEh, and it got me to like something I always hated, and then to introduce all my friends to it as well. It's the reason I have a Han Solo in carbonate Bank on my desk and a Minnie Princess Leia Vinylmation as well. It's all just kind of crazy.

Today's Frumpstagram post brings us back to Magic Kingdom, with the prompt "nighttime." I had a picture in mind this time, and you can see it here! One of the castle pictures I took at the end of my last trip. There's no filter on this one either, because I just love how it is originally!

Here's today's Disney History: 2012: Finding Nemo 3D is released to theaters for a limited time.

Have a magical day!

Day 212: A Few of My Favorite Things V1

I do so many of the Volume Posts, but it just occurred to me recently that I never really talk about my personal favorite things at Walt Disney World. Maybe once I talked a bit about my favorite quiet places or smells or something. Even music, but I don't think I've ever had a series that just talks about things like my favorite attractions or restaurants. In other words, I figure that right now is a very good time to start (Gosh all these Sound of Music References!)

This will hopefully work just like my Disney Collection Series, where about Once a Month or so I'll post on a Different subject of my favorite Disney things! Of course, this topic could go absolutely anywhere in the Disney Universe, but we'll start with something simple: Attractions!

Magic Kingdom Winner:

This one is really Really REALLY hard, because I absolutely adore so many of the Magic Kingdom attractions! I think after some tough thought (I even had to ask my dad!), my favorite attraction currently in the Magic Kingdom is The Haunted Mansion! This is actually pretty funny because this was my LEAST favorite attraction as a kid. But somewhere along the line I just fell in love with the music and the idea and the entire thing. Plus it houses my absolute favorite word: Prematurely! Oh, and on the topic of which is better, Disneyland or Disney World, totally Disney World on this one!

Magic Kingdom Runner Up:

Ok, so I couldn't pick just one you know! Actually I think it's almost a tie between the three, but the runners up are easily Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. I've always loved Buzz, and after all, I am the Galactic Hero, but Space Mountain is a more recent addition. It is easily my favorite of the mountains at Disney, and of the roller coasters in general I think. I just love the fact that it's all dark and you don't really know what's coming. Well, I guess if you ride it enough you do, but when you go as often as I do, which isn't very often at all, you kind of forget what happens.

Honorable Mention: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Epcot Winner:

This is the easiest one! Spaceship Earth! It was the first Disney attraction I was ever on, and honestly, if my life works according to plan it will be the last one before I die. Unless I die at Disney......but then I get to live at the Haunted Mansion, right? Either way, I have been on SSE over 130 times now, and it is absolutely my favorite attraction, not just in Epcot, but in all of Walt Disney World!

Epcot Runner Up:

While not a "Ride" like all the others listed, this is a list of Attractions, meaning that The American Adventure is most certainly included! This attraction is actually the reason I'm so interested in History, although I have this feeling I talked about that a long time ago. Either way, it has lovely music and a great storyline (our country is pretty great!), and I have always loved the Civil War section with the story of the two brothers!

Honorable Mention: Test Track

Hollywood Studios Winner:

This one was quite hard too, because my winner and runner up are seriously almost a tie. But the winner has to come out as Star Tours. Like most of the attractions on this list, I didn't like it until recently when I decided to watch Star Wars and then got motion sickness medicine so I would be able to ride it! The first time I went on it years ago I just wasn't impressed, but then I watched Star Wars, and then in November 2012 I went on it 9 times...searching for Han Solo of course!

Hollywood Studios Runner Up:

And just behind Star Tours is the Great Movie Ride. It's another one of those attractions that's just a classic, one that you HAVE to go on! Plus I'm a pretty big fan of movies myself, and I've actually taken to watching most of the movies in the Great Movie Ride, not including the montage at the end of course, that could get tricky! Still it's helped me discover some of my favorite classic films such as Singin' in the Rain and Indiana Jones!

Honorable Mention: Toy Story Midway Mania

Animal Kingdom Winner:

Gosh this is hard. For a park without a lot of attractions, it sure is hard to choose a favorite. Honestly though, I think I'm going to have to go with Expedition Everest. I hated this attraction for years, and then two years ago went on it because a couple of my friends wanted to. So I did. I learned I needed to take motion sickness if I ever wanted to go on again, but it has certainly become a must-do on my list each time I go!

Animal Kingdom Runner Up:

Almost had another tie here, but I'll explain why I didn't. My runner up is Finding Nemo: The Musical. Why? Because I think it's one of the most brilliant things I have ever seen in my life! I am not joking, I absolutely LOVE this musical. I'm not able to see it every time I go, but I will certainly wait in line for a little while to see it! I mean, who can't love Nemo!?! BUT, this was ALMOST a tie with Kilimanjaro Safari. It wasn't and the Safari gets only an honorable mention because I am NOT a fan of the redo of the attraction. When I was growing up you went on a raging mission to save Little Red the baby Elephant. It was an adventure and it was EXCITING! Now there isn't a storyline anymore. You just go see animals, which is still cool in itself, but I really hope parts of the old attraction make their way back!

Honorable Mention: Kilimanjaro Safaris

And that's about it for Volume One of My Favorite Things! Of course, my favorites change all the time (Other than Spaceship Earth, that has been and always will be my favorite). Things come and go, just like Kilimanjaro Safaris did, so I'm sure it will be changing again in the future.

So, if you've been to the parks, what are your favorites? And if you haven't, which attractions sound like the most fun to you!?!

Here's today's Disney History: 1955: The Casey Jr. Circus Train (based on that train of the same name from the 1941 picture, Dumbo) debuts at Disneyland. Located in the back of Fantasyland next to Dumbo, the train was to open with the rest of the park on July 17, but it wasn't operating properly.

Have a magical day!

Day 165: Carsland? Star Wars Land? What?

So this morning I've heard a lot of rumors about a possible soon to be official announcement about Disney's Hollywood Studios. There's two portions, but first let's review a few things.

A year ago now (tomorrow), Carsland opened at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland, and it was a huge expansion to the park. I was lucky enough to see it under construction, but haven't been able to get back there to see it. I went to D23 back in 2011, and I attended some of the discussions about it and I got to see a lot that was going into it, and honestly I think it is an amazing addition to California.

Then, not even a year ago, Fantasyland received one of it's expansions. Back in December the Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid sections of the area opened, with Storybook Circus opening previously. All that's left now is the 2014 opening of the Snow White area. With a little more luck than California, I was able to see everything under construction multiple times, and then visited during the preview time period before the official opening (which I missed by only a few days). The addition of New Fantasyland is probably one of my favorites of all time, and I can't wait to go back and see the Rapunzel/Tangled bathroom area (or rest area? I'm not sure what to call it) in July. Everything is themed very well, and I'm sure that when it is all completed, it will be a very worthy edition to the park.

And a couple years ago, it was announced that over at Animal Kingdom there would be the addition of an Avatar area. Now, I am not in any way a fan of that movie, I mean it's a nice movie, but I honestly feel that it isn't going to fit in at Animal Kingdom. There's multiple ways they can do it, but I have always loved Animal Kingdom, with and without Everest and certainly without this new expansion, currently scheduled for an opening in several years.

Also, very recently Downtown Disney was confirmed to be expanding, so in other words, there's a lot going on, especially at Disney World.

But like I said, there was some news this morning about how it's possible that a Carsland and Star Wars Land announcement could be coming, with the new additions making their home in Disney's Hollywood Studios. As excited as I would be for something like this to happen, I have a lot of doubts.

First, I would not like to see Carsland at Disney World. I think it fits perfectly at California Adventure, and I just can't see something like that working at the Studios. Does DHS need an update? I'd say yes, but is that where it should come from? No. If anything, a Monsters Inc. themed ride would be better, similar to the one at California Adventure, but different at the same time, if they want to go the Pixar Route. Beauty and the Beast could go, as could the Little Mermaid, because both are now very represented at Magic Kingdom. Having Princesses everywhere only encourages the mindset that it is a place for little children, specifically little girls. Now, this possible expansion could fix that, but there are still other things that need to be taken into account.

As for a Star Wars Land, I'm skeptical here as well. Star Tours is in the middle of the park, surrounded by Indiana Jones and the Muppets, and I certainly don't want to see either of those go. The original point of the park was to make it like Hollywood. They wanted guests to be emeresed in the making of movies. But what, really, is left of that original mindset? The Backlot Tour is there, but it's vastly different from the original, and honestly I feel like it hasn't been great ever since they took out the actual backlot area, like with Residential Street and so on and so forth. The addition of Lights, Motors, Action was a fair one...for like a year, and now it's vastly unpopular. Other than that, I supposed you might be able to count American Idol, but hardly, and there's Art of Animation, but that too has fallen to be less. The last thing that I could even remotely see as an original point of the park would be Indy, and while there have been rumors that it would leave, I, for one, can't see Star Wars land going there, that close to the front of the park. I also can't see Indy leaving because it does such a great job of showing the stunts that are in most movies. And which better movie to do it than Indy? It's entertaining, and generally has been popular. Maybe they could update this too, but with the new addition of both Indy and Star Wars to the family, I can't see it necessarily leaving. Finally, you have the Muppets, which could easily be updated, but I'd hate to see go. I feel a little like it's a tribute to Jim Hensen, and the Muppets were such an important part of TV history, or at least I feel like they are.

So where would either of these expansions go, if they came to Disney World. I think a Star Wars land is a great idea, but, it will require a lot of thought as how to place it. And Carsland would have to be different from California, but at the same time would, I think, just be a repeat. That's not what we're going for here, right? Disney needs to bring new and exciting experiences to the guests, not repeat from the other side of the country. Isn't that what Universal is doing with Harry Potter, after all? I mean, and if they want to win the Orlando Theme Park War, Disney is going to need to bring something that has never been done before to the table. Star Wars would easily do that. It's just a question of if it will actually work.

Here's today's Disney History: 1595: Three major attractions are christened at Disneyland on this day: The first urban monorail system in the U.S., the Disneyland-Alweg Monorail system, begins operation in California's Disneyland. The two Mark 1 trains run on a .8 mile track around Tomorrowland. The Matterhorn Mountain with its Matterhorn Bobsleds opens. Modeled after the Matterhorn, a real mount in the Swiss Alps, it is the first roller coaster to use cylindrical rails and urethane wheels (which will become standard in the roller coaster industry). The Submarine Voyage ride is official dedicated on this day as well in Tomorrowland. The Nautilus and 7 sister submarines - The Triton, Sea Wolf, Skate, Skipjack, George Washington, Patrick Henry and Ethan Allen, allowed 38 Disneyland guests at a time to take their own voyage to the North Pole. Also taking place at Disneyland is a special dedication parade specifically designed for this day's festivities. The parade, and all of the day's events, are filmed for a television special to be titled Kodak Presents Disneyland 59.

Have a magical day!

Day 130: Instagram

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I'm kind of a random person...but lately I've been doing a lot of posting of Disney pictures, and I just thought I'd share a few. I post everything from Fireworks to Test Track...and plenty in between. And of course, every Sunday I post a Spaceship Earth picture to celebrate Spaceship Earth Sunday, which is a legit hashtag I discovered a few weeks ago.

And last night I posted a few Disneyland pictures...which reminded me I need to go and finish going through the rest of said Disneyland pictures at some point....it's just there's like 3000 of them and I have 2000 to go through yet. Still, the trip was in 2011, so I really should finish doing that. Either way, here are some of my most recent Instagram photos!

And yes, all these pictures were taken by me or someone in my family!

You can follow my on Instagram by clicking the link on the left side of the page...just find Instagram! I also post all my Instaphotos to Tumblr and Twitter, which you can find links to as well!

Here's today's Disney History: 1996: The television comedy series Boy Meets World airs the episode "The Happiest Show on Earth" - which takes place at Disney World.

Day 86: Star Wars Weekends Update

Now, I generally just write about how Disney relates to my everyday life, but once and a while I can't help but get into some of the news. So I figure that I'll actually do a short article on something that really caught my eye this week...Star Wars Weekends.

I've never actually been to the celebration, since I have never in my life been to Florida in the spring (I have only gone once in the summer...not counting this upcoming summer...only around Christmas otherwise), so it's pretty hard to attend something when I'm stuck here in Wisconsin. But I do love to watch and hear updates from the event...my favorite always being the Hyperspace Hoopla...but who doesn't love that? I think Last Tour to Endor was my favorite though...which is kind of sad because I really didn't go on the old Star Tours (I went on once) and now I really regret it. (The point here is...if you haven't seen Star Wars yet...go watch...now).

Anyway, back to the news. Brand new merchandise for this year's weekends has been released, and I couldn't hold my excitement about a few of them (even if I won't get my hands on any of the following items).

First up, the thermal detonator "Hot Potato" game. I think it's obvious why I would want this...because it's just something that I would totally own and would play with a few times, but mostly it would sit on my shelf. I'd honestly probably keep the box. Also, Return of the Jedi is my second favorite Star Wars film (Can anyone guess my favorite?), so having something like this would just be awesome.

Next we have a wide selection of things, but there are two in particular that I would love to have. First, the name badge, because who wouldn't want one of those? Second, and probably more-so, the Han in Carbonate. I have a very small collection of Vinylmation, as you can see in the picture below, since I generally only indulge in one each trip. I'm pretty picky about which ones I get, which is also obvious since only one of them was bought from a regular collection (I was extremely lucky to get Buzz), and this Han Solo would totally be a great addition to my collection (which will probably end up going to college with me since they are so small). But, it is limited edition, as is pretty much everything that has to do with Star Wars and Disney at the moment...but there's always articles out there to entertain...Harrison Ford is doing a great job of stepping around the questions that the moment...which I probably find more amusing than annoying.

My Vinylmation collection...Buzz, a Polar Bear (Animal Kingdom Collection), Statue of Liberty (from the New York Disney Store) and my newest addition, Minnie Princess Leia.

If you'd like to see the complete listing of the merchandise, click here for the link to the Disney Parks Blog official announcement. Also, I highly suggest going here to vote for the This is Madness: the Star Wars Character Tournament. I'm rooting for Han Solo all the way!

Here's today's Disney History: 1999: Disneyland announces it has acquired a new locomotive, Disneyland Railroad engine No. 5 that will be dedicated under the name "Ward Kimball" in Ward's honor.

Have a magical day, and may the force be with you...always!

Day 59: End of the Month 2!

That's right, it's the end of yet another month in 2013. It's sure going by quickly isn't it?

Anyway, today marks the day that I've been blogging for two months. Once again, it's been kind of interesting, since I don't always get on. But I do go back and create a post for every day I miss, so I figure it ends alright.

It's been an interesting month, considering the fact that I had musical, and auditions, and I've been gearing up for Solo and Ensemble. I've watched several movies over the past month, and I've done the Disney history everyday now! There's just a lot that's been going on, and it's all so fun!

So here's to yet another month here at Everyday Disney, and to finish it off, here's your Disney History: 1997: Wookiee Chewbacca and actress Carrie Fisher (who portrayed Princess Leia) cut an opening ribbon with a lightsaber during a Star Tours re dedication ceremony at Disneyland. The event highlights the attractions 10th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the original Star Wars films.

Have a magical day!
