Sadly, Shirley Temple has died. Now, I don't know a ton about Shirley Temple, but she is one of those great people that absolutely everyone just has to know...especially if we're talking Disney. Probably the most famous Shirley Temple moment when it comes to the Mouse is this one, the presentation of the special Oscar for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs:
It's probably one of my absolute favorite Walt Disney moments too. It's just adorable.
Of course, you can also see Shirley Temple in The Great Movie Ride montage at the end of the attraction, just for a second, but she's there. And that's not the only connection she has with Disney. Even as she grew up, Shirley had a strong connection with Disney. She was at the opening of Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Walk through Attraction, for which she cut the ribbon in 1957.
Also, in Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel, there is at least one portrait of Walt Disney eating with Shirley Temple. I happened to sit beneath it when I went there for a birthday dinner back in 2011. I have a picture somewhere...just not on this laptop (it's on my other one at home). I'll have to share it some time.

And so, today's post is dedicated to the wonderful little girl who appeared on screens for so long. If you don't know her, you should...so here's a couple of her other most famous performances:
Rest in Peace Shirley! We'll always remember you!
Have a magical day!
